Are you wondering how Norwegian popular music has changed from the 1950s until today? Join us for an exciting tour of Rockheim’s main exhibition which takes you through the history of Norwegian popular music in 40 minutes!
Hear about how popular music has changed from the burgeoning youth culture of the 1950s to today's forms of expression, how technological development has influenced how music is made and listened to, and about how music in many ways reflects society and the times we live in.
Meet up at the lift on the 6th floor to join the guided tour.
11:30 AM and 1:30 PM Artist of the week
Every week throughout the summer, six young norwegian artists take the stage in Rockheim’s Hall of Fame exhibition, presenting their own music and personal artistic expression.
The artist of the week performs a 20-minute concert twice daily, Monday through Saturday. The artists choose their own genre, themes, and setlist. The concerts take place on the stage in Rockheim’s Hall of Fame exhibition, at the heart of the museum’s public engagement arena.
The artists of the week in 2026 are Marie Skagemo, Alex Pavlovic, lh lokander, amaida., Siv Aurlund, and AAvery!
Outside of the concerts, the artist of the week is present in the exhibition, available for the public and for conversations. Experience concerts with the artist of the week in the Hall of Fame exhibition this summer and get closer to six of the new voices in Norwegian popular music!

Welcome to an informal and fun music quiz in the Edda Room, surrounded by jukeboxes, instruments, and record players!
Test your knowledge of music and fan culture in connection with our new exhibition We <3 You. A great opportunity to reminisce, but also to learn something new!
Participate alone or as a team. The quiz lasts approximately 30 minutes.
You’ll find the Edda Room by the elevators on the 6th floor.
